Floss: Which Kind Is Right For You?

Posted .

You probably know that there are a number of things you can do to protect your teeth. Similarly, you know that brushing and flossing are vital to your oral health. However, do you know how to determine the type of floss that’s best for your teeth?

For instance, if you have a lot of space between each of your teeth, you may need to consider the benefits of dental tape. Super floss could also be extremely useful. You may also choose a waxed floss if your teeth are close together. However, did you know that you could also consider the benefits of a floss pick—which people who struggle to reach the back of their mouth often prefer—or water picks? A spongy floss could also benefit you if you have braces.

Of course, once you have the right type of floss for your teeth, you should remember to floss at least once every day. We recommend using about a foot and a half of floss every time to make sure you get all of your teeth with clean pieces of floss. You should also curve your floss into a c-shape and glide it up and down each side of your tooth. Finally, if you floss first, please remember to brush well afterwards. If you brush your teeth first, please rinse your mouth after you floss.
